DJ MuMu1. Best side one, track one of all time:
That's a difficult one, I can't answer, How long is a piece of string or a piece of vinyl. By the way a vinyl record is a 12- or 10-inch (30 or 25 cm) At the moment I'm loving a classic, it's Fun Boy Free Our Lips are Sealed but my bestie changes as I discover new tracks. 2. How do you organise your records? Chronological? Alphabetical? AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL? I don't at the moment I'm reorganising my record library, my records are on my DJ booth, in my DJ crate, or the Arty sleeves go onto the display shelf. I'm kind of organised, some records are fresh from my last gig at Beat Herder Festival stored inside the infamous Magma Dj Bag / Trolley. 3. What is your favourite vinyl / music related movie quote. I didn't know this was thing, you've got me on this one I'll use my own quote for now... There is something special and genuine about being a vinyl DJ, selecting through records, displaying your collection, its history is fascinating, and vinyl DJs have played a pivotal role in shaping music culture. 4. What is your white whale album? Oh my god, it's the Guru - Jazzmatazz Volume II Album (The New Reality) One of the albums that changed my life, speaking in formats, I have it on CD, can I justify buying it on vinyl £100.00 plus for 2 x LP's? 5. What is no-skip, all killer no filler album in your collection? Gotta be Earth, Wind & Fire - The Best Off, for me it's genreless, if you want to define it's jazz, R&B, soul, funk, disco, pop, Latin, and Afro-pop. Genre fluidity is now a thing. 6. Best album closer of all time: Hmm leave this with me? Can be Fleetwood Mac |
