Hepcat Corner - Bop, Acid Jazz, Latin w/

David

3rd TUESDAY 18.00

1. Best side one, track one of all time:
New York Afternoon, Snowboy & The Latin Section.   Who wouldn’t change their plans on Sunday to walk around The Village

2. How do you organise your records? Chronological? Alphabetical? AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL?
Alphabetical, however, most important, all organised under ‘Mine’.

3. What is your favourite vinyl / music related movie quote?
How do you feel about the way performers act and behave on stage now? Oh, I...I don't know. I really can't criticize anybody in the entertainment field. I think there's room for everybody. I hate to criticize another performer. Are you satisfied with the image you've established? Well the image is one thing, and a human being is another, you know. So. It's very hard to live up to an image. I'll put it that way. Elvis On Tour (1972), Elvis Presley in Concert (2026) Madison Square Garden interview, a lesson in humbleness.

4. What is your white whale album?
To You - Chie Ayodo was my inspiration to buy and modify a 70’s turntable and start buying records again. I like to think records sound best on old gear.

5. What is no-skip, all killer no filler album in your collection?
Ella and Louis by Ella and Louis.  Two forces of nature

6. Best album closer of all time:
Tumbaloflesicodelicomicoso on Serenata Guajira. Celia Cruz another force of nature
